I'd like to pretend I'm cool enough to get it, but that would mean I'd eventually have to read more of these. Sorry, I know a lot of you love this style. The difference is, the artist isn't one of my kids, so I don't feel the need to put this up on my refrigerator. It reminds me of some scratchy shit that one of my kids drew. I can't force myself to do this any longer! I can honestly see why so many of you love it, but. The Shakespeare story was still a time-suck that I'll never get back, and the others will still never go down as favorites, but I'm hanging in there in the hopes that it picks up. Which just goes to say, you should never say never.Īnd while this was still a weak volume, I found it more tolerable than I did the first time around. Over the years quite a few of my friends have urged me to go back and give it a try again. This was the volume that originally ended my Sandman journey 8 ish years ago.
